Kit Highlights

Manchester United wore their 5th Different Kit Variation of the season, the use of alternative black shorts was their 3rd different Home Kit look, they have also worn a different looking in each of their Away games this season.

Chelsea wore their 4th different Goalkeeper Kit so far this season (matching Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United & Newcastle United with this number). This Kit was interesting as does not match the current Nike Goalkeeper Template, is it bespoke, time will tell.

The rivally between Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace was played with both teams in their Home Kits, with Palace using white has their first choice look meant that we had the rare sight of both teams in their Home kits for this fixture.

My favourite “Kit Match Up” of the Matchweek was the game between Leeds United and Manchester United, a classic match up where you know how the teams will line up, with Manchester United in alternative black shorts, this match up just works for this fixture.

Kit Stats

Overall we have seen 14 Home Kits, 1 Away and 5 Third Kit in action this weekend.

There were three Kit Variation used in this Matchweek

  • Liverpool – 3rd with alternative white shorts & socks
  • Manchester United – Home with alternative black shorts
  • Arsenal – 3rd with alternative yellow socks, 2nd time used

Kit Grid – Up to 19th October

Kit News

Ipswich Town completed the Premier League Kit Set for 2026/27 Season by launching their 3rd Kit, the black and gold design, created in collaboration with fan-led art collective Call Me Ted.

The club decribed the shirt as “Showcasing the rich history of the town of Ipswich, the new third shirt utilises the Tudor-style map originally designed by Call Me Ted, used on warm-up shirts ahead of the Blues’ fixture against Millwall earlier this year. The limited-edition white shirts raised more than £15,000 for the Ipswich Town Foundation at auction, with the design now reimagined in black and gold to form the 2026/27 Umbro third shirt.”

Proceeds from the shirt sales will also go to charities in the local community.
